About
49 years ago in September 1973, the Liberator published its first issue. Since then, the newspaper has been branded the LBJ Liberator, the LASA Liberator, and many more. Full of dedicated staff and editors, the Liberator is proud to deliver local news, national news, and news that centers around LASA and LBJ. Although the Liberator is a student-run newspaper for the Liberal Arts and Science Academy, it has gained national recognition and won numerous awards. Some of these include the Peacemaker (the Pulitzer Prize of high school journalism), the Gold Crown Press Association, and 2005 First Place Best in Show given by the National Scholastic Press Association.
The Liberator publishes four full and two mini issues a year, each worked incredibly hard on by the Liberator crew during the production cycle. Full PDFs of past issues can be found by clicking here.
